Yes! We can size most rings – from simple to complex designs.
We mainly work with the traditional precious metals. Gold (yellow or white), silver and platinum.
White gold is yellow gold that is mixed with alloys to give it a white color. It does eventually get a yellow tone to it, but that can easily be fixed by a process called rhodium plating ($180).
Platinum is an altogether different precious metal that is naturally white. We do recommend white gold over Platinum because Platinum is a lot more malleable than gold – it may not wear like gold does but it bends and dents. We typically use white gold solder on platinum pieces because it is stronger and holds better.
We ALWAYS recommend white gold prongs, even on yellow or rose gold pieces. The added alloys in white gold make it so much stronger and we like that added protection – especially on diamonds!
Yes! We do occasionally have a “Sshh” sale. And we typically have a few items through out the store at a discounted price. Check our Facebook or Instagram for current sales or discounts.
Yes! We offer financing through Wells Fargo with approved credit.
Legend Jewelers does not currently offer layaway options.
We do not have an in-house engraver anymore. We can recommend someone in town or we can send it out and take care of it for you.
Yes. We can set precious and semi-precious gemstones in any size or shape. Our staff can confidently assess stones and the best way to set them, so if there is any question about the security of your gemstone, it will be addressed.
Yes. Custom designing is one of our specialties. We love to make your dreams come true and if a custom jewelry piece is that dream – we will see it made!
Designing a custom piece can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks. And you are a part of the process every step of the way! We start with a CAD- CAM picture on the computer so we can see what the piece will look like when finished. Once the art has been approved, our wax carver carves out a wax model. Carving the wax can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece. After the model has been approved, it only takes 1-2 weeks to cast and set the stones (if any).
We can sell loose gemstones. We do keep a variety on hand to use for our own custom designs, or if you are looking for something specific, we can get different stones in at no cost to you, until we find exactly what you are looking for!
Yes! If you have any Concho Pearls or Concho Pearl jewelry, please bring them in the store for Mark see and possibly purchase!
Yes. You can bring in any gold/silver that you have and we can figure out the scrap credit for the gram weight that you bring us. We do not buy silver as frequently as we buy gold – there really needs to be A LOT in order for it to be worth selling.
Yes. We offer military & Angelo State University student discount. It is currently at 10%. We do not currently offer any senior discount.
That really depends on the shape of the diamond as well as what kind of color/clarity range you are wanting to stay in.
Yes! We have a goldsmith and bench jeweler available so for your typical jewelry repair, it is usually only 2-3 weeks.
Yes we can! It only takes us a few minutes for your typical watch – if it ends up being more difficult or we think we won’t be able to do it, we will let you know!
We also send broken watches out for an estimate and to clarify exactly what is wrong with the mechanics of the watch.
Legend Jewelers does not have an online shop, but if you send us an email, we will ask for details and send you pictures to help you choose the piece of jewelry that is perfect for you. Once you’ve made a decision, you can then call and we can take your credit card information over the phone or you can send a check or card information. We make your gift giving as painless as possible.
We do have a few loose diamonds on hand in various sizes. Ask and we’ll show!
We can provide stones for viewing of any size or shape upon request.
Rubies, Emeralds & Sapphires are considered precious – all other colored stones are considered semi-precious.
